Weathercraft® began in early 1988 as a very small part time business making Adirondack Chairs in a woodworking shop located in Cape Hatteras, NC. In 1989 the founder Bill Palmer saw opportunities and opened a small 2400 sq. ft. woodworking shop where he resided in Asheboro, NC.

By the following year word was out….the demand for these quality handcrafted Adirondack chairs was growing and with only three part time helpers helping to meet order fulfillment. In addition Adirondack rockers, double seaters (Tête-à-têtes), and accent pieces like side tables and footrests had been brought out.

In 1999 Weathercraft® took it’s next step forward moving into a 7200 sq. ft. manufacturing facility. We also introduced Adirondack furniture offered in two (2) color finishes, white and forest green. Colors were slow to catch on but, by 2001 we quickly learned adding additional colors with a little pop and pizzazz was a big boost for business. In addition decided Adirondack chair cushions would add a little extra comfort to an already comfortable chair. Accepting only the best in outdoor fabrics, we chose Sunbrella® and with the ability to purchase direct, we’ve never looked back.

In 2003 opportunity knocked once more. We moved into and now own our current manufacturing facility of nearly 9000 sq.ft. complete front and rear with shipping bays. We also own an adjacent 9500 sq. ft. building if expansion presents itself again.

Today we currently maintain and employ both full and part time employees as well as returning seasonal help. Every Weathercraft employee is trained for their specific task and quality control requires they provide only the highest quality…it is rule #1. When we say “Proudly Made in the USA” … we want it to show.

Any item(s) Returned Should Be in it’s New And Unused Condition With All Tags Attached if Applicable.  All Items Properly Returned Under This Policy Will Be Eligible For A Full Refund By The Payment Method Originally Made, LESS a  5% re-stock / re-packaging / carton fee.
