John Feizy founded Feizy Rugs® 41 years ago as a small retail rug store in Dallas, Texas, carrying only fine, hand knotted rugs. Following a family tradition of buying, selling and collecting Oriental rugs that spanned four generations, his goal was to expose the public to the beauty of a vanished world while enabling them to incorporate these incredible pieces of art into every–day living spaces. Traveling to the weaving capitals of the world, he hand–selected pieces for his inventory with the utmost care and an expert eye. It was not long before he had a loyal clientele of interior designers who came from near and far to patronize his store.

He soon leased a space in the Dallas World Trade Center and began to deal exclusively to the trade. Recognizing the demand for a variety of unique programmed rugs, he expanded his operation to include rug designers both in Dallas and overseas, and the company’s collections grew to encompass the Feizy Fine® Rug Collection as well as the Feizy Home® Collection. He translated the appreciation for traditional hand knotted Persian rugs his family had instilled in him to a larger audience by creating unforgettable designs in fashionable colors and in a variety of constructions and styles. With his tenacity, focused ambition and business acumen, John Feizy has built a company that is now recognized as one of the largest manufacturers and innovators of fine rugs in the world. Offering distinctive designs in a wide range of styles and weaving them in every fiber imaginable— from the finest silks and wools to fashionable materials such as art silk and polypropylene — Feizy Rugs is renowned for producing the highest quality hand knotted, hand tufted and power loomed rugs in the marketplace today.
